  • Although January has given us some beautiful wintry scenes I am ready for its end.  This has been a difficult month, full of sickness and trials. I am tired. I am feeling depressed. My get up and go, has got up and went. And I am in need of some warmth and sunshine. I’m ready for spring.

  • My children have watched way too much TV the past few weeks. I know I should care, but at this point PBS is my friend.
  • Bleach has become my constant companion.
  • How can my kids be loving, helpful, and caring one minute and the next they’re ready to rip each others eyes out? And how come I feel like helping them out?!
  • On a brighter note…I made cupcakes!
  • Oh, and I am finally caught up on laundry!
  • I think I need a coffee with extra caffeine and lots of sugary, fat-laden creamer. Yup! I think that will do it!

Oh yes, I am full of randomness and short on wisdom and creativity. But, hey this is my life today.

Just keepin’ it real! :)

****Thank you to each of you who have prayed for my brother-in-law. He is doing good and the doctors are saying he will probably be able to come home tomorrow.  God is good!

  1. Stand up and face south. Stretch your arms out nice and wide. Are you there? Now close your eyes and feel me sending sunshine your way. Feel it?

You have had a rough beginning this year. God bless and know I am lifting you and your family up in my prayers!!!

  2. lol... I'm right there with Nezzy, and I'll can say is; I love you...I'm glad you're hanging in there, and "feeling real" - willing to share it. I love how you said your get up and go, got up and went. that was so halarious.

I'd share a "cup of talk" with you if I lived closer.... COFFEE sounds so good, right now! Except I'm a black (gal) coffee drinker.

  3. Hang in there, honey!!!! An afternoon cup of coffee is always a nice pick-me-up! I had one myself today!

  4. Yup ~ We all appreciate the real-ness of your post! It happens to all of us. Hang in there ~ one day at a time WITH the Lord...moment by moment.

Such good news about your brother-in-law!

Have a restful evening and enjoy that cup of yummy coffee! :) (I like it with lots of cream and sugar too)...oh dear!

  5. I'm ready for spring too. Winter is so hard to get through. This winter has been a little better and I think it's because I bought new light bulbs that imitate natural light. They have really helped me. I put them in a couple rooms to see if they made a difference from the other rooms, and they did! I still have days where I want to sleep all day, at not face the responsibilities, but they are fewer and further inbetween.

    Hang in will get better!

  6. Can I just say "Ditto!!!"
That sounds like my life-except for all the laundry being done-I got to finish tomorrow....Yuck!

  7. I'm so sorry to hear about your brother! Hope he continues to strengthen each day.

  8. Praise the Lord about your BIL!

As for the post..I soooo understand.
    All of it!

Randomness is what keeps us sane me thinks. :)

  9. Thanks for keeping it real...It has been a tough winter, and we are in the same boat. Hoping your BIL continues to feel better.

    Blessings, Fine Linen

  10. You can use rubbing alcohol instead of bleach. Isn't near as hard on all the surfaces you touch or your skin, yet is a great disinfectant.

May you all begin to feel much better soon.

  11. oh you know how much i love the "real". i am SO ready for winter to be over.

glad to hear that your bil is doing well!

  12. Cupcakes sound like fun! Maybe that will sweeten the kids! ;-)

Praise the Lord that your brother-in-law is doing better!
