Hebrews 11:1
By faith Abel… By faith Enoch… By faith Noah… By faith Abraham… By faith Rahab.
These and many more, God esteemed for their faith. These men and women of God were not perfect. Some made bad decisions, some cheated, some sold themselves, some disobeyed, all were sinful. Yet God used them. These men and women served God in faith. They were faithful to what was unseen. They were faithful to a God that promised a redeemer who would be the final sacrifice. They never saw the redeemer, the Lamb who was slain to wash away all iniquity.
Yet, they served.
They loved.
They lived in faith.
They lived in hope and certainty.
How about you? Are you living in faith? Trusting in the Lord to take care of every need. Knowing that your life is in His hands and He is in control. Are you sure and certain in your faith? If not call out to your Savior. He can fill you with that certainty. He is the fulfillment of God’s promise to all people. He brings love and life everlasting.
He is our HOPE!
what if there is no hope?
ReplyDeletePaul, first let me say there is HOPE! Jesus is our hope! When all we feel confident about fails us, when those we love fail us, when we feel we are at the end, all we need to do is look UP!
ReplyDeleteChrist died for you and me, to give us a Hope! It is that hope and love that we need to cling to. This world is going to fail us. The people we love will fail us at times. It is the sin in this world that causes the pain. But what we need to remember is that God loves us. He wants more than anything for us to call upon His holy name.
Paul it says in the Psalms that He is our strength and our refuge. Run to your Savior. Pour out your heart to Him. All your anger, hurt and confusion. Then put your faith in Him. He is YOUR HOPE. Nothing else, nobody else can be hope for you. Only GOD!
There is hope and it is in Christ Jesus!
I have prayed for you and will continue to pray for you. I'm lifting you up in prayer to the Lord.
"Hear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I call to you all day long. Bring joy to your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. Psalm 86:1-4

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning shot!
ReplyDeleteYou've cited one of my favorite portions of scripture. I especially love that Rahab is including along with the great Patriarchs. By faith, she loved, lived and hoped. So can we.
Happy Sunday...
LOVE Hebrews 11:1
ReplyDeleteThis has been my verse lately and first I saw it posted with Melissa and now you!

Beautifully captured and expressed! I needed this reminder today. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful and simple capture, Jenn. Inspiring with your quote. :)
ReplyDeleteJenn-I'm right there with you right now. I am in the midst of "reworking" the Beth Moore Bible Study "Believing God" to work for my kids' Bible this year for homeschool. :) And it's main basis is Hebrews 11!!!!! The Hall of Faith. :)
ReplyDeleteJenn for Paul, I will be praying for him as well. If we have no hope of our own, we always have Jesus. I heard it said today, if Jesus stopped blessing us today, we would still have so many more blessings than we deserved, because He loves us. My prayers for Paul is that Hope abides in him and grows strong!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very powerful message this week!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! This is such an amazing promise from God! I will be praying for Paul as well. Wow!! I wonder if he knew how much love and prayer he would receive?
ReplyDeleteAmen!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn
ReplyDeleteI love that passage - as you mentioned they were all just normal people, but God used them because of their small faith to do amazing works for Him!
