No More Bare Bottom

We have a dilemma around here. It involves a two-year-old who can't keep her pants up and therefore walks around all day displaying her backside for all to see.

I don't remember my boys ever having this problem. With my daughter, Lauren however, it has become a chronic condition. All day long I ask her to pull up her pants because her bottom is showing. She dutifully hikes them up, but within 2 minutes her little crack is peeking out again. So, I have come up with a solution...

Oh yes, isn't this just the most fashionable child you have ever seen! No more bare behind thanks to a onesie snapped over her pants. As you can see the pants can fall down all they want, but there can be no complaint of immodesty!

Just don't call the fashion police on me!

Simple, Quick Decorating Tip

Easy Nursery Decorating Tip

When I found out I was pregnant with a little girl I was so excited. I couldn't wait to decorate the nursery. I wanted to keep it simple, the walls uncluttered. At first, I had thought about making large quilted daisies in various pink fabrics and attaching them to the wall above the crib but before I started that project I received some beautiful crocheted items. I suddenly had an AH-HA moment. This is what I decided to do-

I would love to find some old antique baby hangers, but until I do these pink ones do the job. The walls are a soft yellow which doesn't show up well in the photos, but the pink sweaters compliment it well. I have to throw in here that my mom made the quilt and a matching wall hanging that I just love!

Berry Vanilla Smoothies

Its a 5 ingredients or less Works For Me Wednesday, so in honor of that here is my easy, breezy recipe-

Breakfast can be a crazy free-for-all at our house most mornings. This past school year I posted a breakfast schedule. Smoothies were on tap for Wednesdays breakfast. This goes together fast, is delicious, and nutritious!

Berry Vanilla Smoothies

2 cups frozen, unsweetened strawberries
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 banana sliced
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1 cup 100% apple juice or juice of your choice (use more juice if you want a thinner smoothie)

Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Yields about 6-7 cups

Simple Organization

When my daughter began eating baby food I found that Gerber had gotten away from the glass jars with metal lids. They had began putting the food into small plastic boxes with tight fitting lids. I wasn't sure what I would use them for, but I figured they would be good for storing something so I kept some of them.

This is one thing that I am using them for now:

I have put all of my 2-year-old daughters hair accessories into the handy Gerber containers then store them in a drawer in my bathroom vanity. This helps keep them all in one spot and organized. It works for me!
