With Christmas fast approaching I thought I would share with you one of my favorite finds from last year.
~Groovy Girls~
These dolls are perfect for little girls! They are soft and easy to dress and undress (which Lauren likes to do best!). They have adorable hair and faces. They aren't anatomically correct, just a cute little belly button, nothing more to wonder about. There aren't tiny little shoes and accessories that so easily get sucked up into the vacuum. They come in different sizes, we have a mini-Groovy girl from the Candy Kingdoms collection and one that is a bit bigger from the Fantasy theme collection. Best of all there is a whole collection of them and they are affordable! Plus you can buy clothes separately so your little one can strip the doll and have you re-dress it in a different outfit...repeatedly!!
I have never seen these in stores, but then again, I don't get out much! I just happened to stumble across them last year when I was searching Amazon for gift ideas. This year I went to the Manhattan Toy Company web-site and found that the dolls are still a great price ($12.00-$20.00) and the selection is better (obviously) than Amazon, so I may be buying straight from the company. The hard part will be which doll and outfit to choose.
They are all so cute and truth be told I enjoy playing with them just as much as my daughter does!
SO...if you are looking for a great, adorable, affordable gift for your little girl or a young girl in your family, check these out. I think you'll be glad you did. It will be a doll she and you will enjoy for years to come.
cute...so much better than bratz!! and i love the little dog~
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing~

They are really cute! I haven't heard of them before.
ReplyDeleteLydia loves her Groovy Girl too! She calls her Baby Bella. I love it! I might have to add another one to her Christmas list! ( Love the new header)
ReplyDeleteI love Groovy Girls! They have such personalities!
ReplyDeleteI have never even heard of these Groovy Girl dolls before, but then again I don't get out much either. Dolls are certainly the next up and coming thing around our house. The one in the middle with the red hair reminds me of my Aubrey. A. already has 3 little dolls and it totally amazes me that at 13 months old she already has the gist of how to play with dolls. OF Course, I enjoy "playing dolls" with her - it brings back SO MANY memories. (I don't know Jen, You're influencing another blog post out of me now, too!);)
ReplyDeleteBTW: I like your new fall pics on your header. Gorgeous!!!
Thank you for your thoughts. I have been pondering Christmas. I have four little grandchildren. It's always fun to buy for them.
ReplyDeleteMay the Lord bless you today, and always may He keep you in His tender loving care.
Love in Him,
Andrea
P.S. Thank you and God bless you for homeschooling your precious ones.
I've seen a few at Target, and I've also seen that you can buy Brownie or Girl Scout outfits for them online. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Madi is really getting into playing the mommy role, so she will love these!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing girl. I'm always up for ideas for the granddaughters and these are soooo cute.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!!!
Aww, cute dolls! Wish I had a girl (maybe someday, wink)
ReplyDeleteHey, I just checked, and they have a HUGE selection of these on eBay! There are some lots with dolls and furniture for very good prices! I've never heard of these before, but I'm liking what I see! Thanks
