Family Celebration

Our family celebrated my parents 40th wedding anniversary yesterday. It was a wonderful time of reminiscing, laughter and joy. It was a special day- remembering the love our parents have shown to us and each other over the years.

Here is the quilt my sister made (she's the one on the left, front corner). The cream colored sections are filled with notes, of love, from us kids to our mom and dad. (I'm on the right)

"May the Lord bless you from Zion all the days of your life; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem, and may you live to see your children's children." Psalm 128:5-6

The Lord has blessed my parents. They have 5 children who love them and 9 grandchildren who adore them! I pray the Lord will give them many more years together. Not only has the Lord blessed them, but he has blessed us. We have loving, tender hearted parents who are a true gift from God.

  3. I LOVE this quilt so much. What a priceless gift.

My mom and I made a quilt together a few years back, but it isn't quite finished....it has pieces of all the dresses, curtains, etc that we made with her growing up, so it's a special family history in a blanket!

    Great picture!
